What is Chinese New Year without red, festive decorations? Red and gold are the two most ultimate color to represent the occasion.The chinese characters written on the banners are all about welcoming prosperity and wealth. Most people like to hang the banners or other little decorations in their house to bring in good fortune for the new year.

It's been a long while since I last posted a photograph. In fact, it's been a long while since I last touch my camera too. Sigh... the only thing that's keeping me from taking photos is work. I have the time now because of the coming public holidayS due to Chinese New Year! Just took a number of shots at Chinatown. Will be posting them tmrw.

One year after the tsunami, reconstructions are still in the process. I doubt the houses are for the local residents. They look more like tourist chalets.

This is one of the most famous temple in Phuket. It is Phuket’s most important Buddhist temple and is the biggest and most ornate of Phuket’s 29 Buddhist monasteries. Here's the main hall. Many Thais come here to be blessed by the monks and receive a good luck charm in the form of a string tied around the wrist, which they believe would protect them from injury and illness.

I've been out of touch with the world recently. I was terribly sick with fever, flu and sore throat. No, thankfully, it's not the bird flu even though I came back from Thailand. I'm in the recovering stage now. My nose is still blocked though. I've pasted 4 photos together here in sequence. I wish I'm still in Thailand on holiday.

Yes, that's right. There is a James Bond Island in Phang Nga Bay, Thailand because it appeared in the James Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun".

I took this in a restaurant by Karon Beach, Phuket. Guess what happened on my first night there? BLACKOUT. The entire Karon was in darkness...How bad can my holiday be? Hahaha... Luckily, my friends and I were having dinner in a restaurant then. Outside was raining heavily. Plus the blackout, how miserable do you think I am?? Nevertheless, we managed to make fun of it. The owner brought out candles for the tables. Since, we had finished our food and were also trapped in the restaurant, I played around with my cam. Imagine me trying to take a sharp photo in darkness without using a tripod. This is the only sharp one and I really like it. However, I've not decided on a suitable title for it.

I'm back from Thailand. My friends and I went island hopping everyday. This was taken at Krabi. Lovely sunset isn't it? We were taking photos crazily because you can never see this in Singapore. Developed this photo at a shop in Krabi and the vendor commented that this can be made into a postcard. I'm absolutely flattered.
